Lunch break: Atta flies to Fiorentina, Real do the big shop

The midday menu arrives hot: Fiorentina wrap up Arthur Atta in a deal worth over €20m, Atlético Madrid sign off a “here we go” for Morten Hjulmand, and Real Madrid lay two places at the table with Denzel Dumfries and Marc Cucurella. Between one “official” and the next, Serie A, La Liga and the Premier League take no break: enjoy your meal.

The starter carries Fiorentina's stamp. According to Calciomercato.com, the deal for Arthur Atta was sealed overnight for a fee north of €20m: it's a “here we go”. From the same source comes the official arrival of Gaetano Oristanio at Torino, signed from Venezia on loan with an option to buy. The rest of the Italian table is already served: Radu Dragusin is a Viola (from Tottenham), Gonçalo Ramos strengthens Milan (from PSG), Gianluca Gaetano moves from Cagliari to Atalanta and Valentin Carboni leaves Inter for Parma.

The first course is Spanish and very generous. Real Madrid set two places up front — the arrivals of Denzel Dumfries from Inter and Marc Cucurella from Chelsea are down as done — and clear a shelf by selling Dean Huijsen to Bournemouth. Atlético Madrid, for their part, land the “here we go” for Morten Hjulmand: an agreement with Sporting Lisbon for a €40m operation (Calciomercato.com), with Lee Kang-in incoming from PSG to round off the Colchoneros' shop. On renewals: Calciomercato.com again reports Aurélien Tchouaméni is ready to extend with Real until 2031, while Barcelona have tabled an official bid to Borussia Dortmund for Karim Adeyemi.

In the Premier League the main is cooked by Manchester United, who close for Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford and also secure Andrey Santos from Chelsea (confirmed). The Madrid raid, in fact, is felt here too: it's Chelsea themselves waving Cucurella off towards the Spanish capital. Business in midfield and out wide, with the English clubs playing the sellers more than the buyers today.

In the departures column, the standout is Paulo Dybala's confirmed farewell, bound for Boca Juniors. On the rumours trolley, Calciomercato.com serves up a Napoli that has locked in Zeballos of Boca Juniors and a Como hunting in attack for the 2003-born Franjo Ivanović of Benfica. Mind the reheated dishes, though: per the same source, it does not appear that Juventus have asked Udinese for Oumar Solet, and the Inter angle stays cold too.

The espresso, as ever these days, smells of the World Cup: Morocco will have to do without Ismael Saibari against France, not yet recovered from injury (Calciomercato.com). The afternoon promises more courses, on the pitch and on the market: enjoy your meal.
