Bernardo Silva to Real is official, Inter close in on Vicario

Real Madrid have made Bernardo Silva official: the Portuguese leaves Manchester City to join José Mourinho's side, while in the Spanish capital the exits chapter opens with Antonio Rüdiger heading for the door. In Serie A it is Inter doing most of the moving — closing in on Vicario, chasing Provedel and renewing Chivu — with Juventus, Roma and new coach Amorim's Milan rounding out a busy day.

The story of the day comes from Madrid: Real have made the signing of Bernardo Silva official. The Portuguese playmaker says goodbye to Manchester City and bolsters José Mourinho's attacking options. On the way out, the Spanish club have settled Antonio Rüdiger's situation, with the German now heading for an exit, and have also defined Nico Paz's future: as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Argentine is on the verge of staying on loan at Como for another season, with a return to Madrid scheduled for 2027.

In Serie A the busiest club is Inter, working on several fronts in goal. The Nerazzurri have stepped up their push for Vicario: the deal with Tottenham is in its final stretch. The Ivan Provedel trail also remains very much alive: the Lazio goalkeeper's agent, in comments relayed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, confirmed the player is «very close» to Inter and that there is «little left» before it is done. Meanwhile the board has secured the bench: according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the renewal of Cristian Chivu through 2028 is being wrapped up, with the coach's agent expected at the club's offices to sign.

Juventus are moving too, still working on a goalkeeper: the trail leading to Emiliano «Dibu» Martínez, on his way out of Aston Villa, is well advanced and close to completion. On the sales front, the Andrea Cambiaso case is front and centre: La Gazzetta dello Sport describes a hot line with Chelsea, who reportedly added Nicolas Jackson as a makeweight to raise their offer, while Barcelona push from Spain, ready to put Ronald Araújo on the table. The Bianconeri are weighing the offers for the full-back.

On to Milan, where the Ruben Amorim era has begun. The new Portuguese coach has already set out his priorities: the attacking dream is Gonçalo Ramos, and his possible arrival could clear the way for the sale of Rafael Leao, now on Arsenal's radar. Gerry Cardinale's ownership, meanwhile, has reaffirmed its intention to keep Christian Pulisic. There were sour notes too: La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the arrivals of Krösche and Hardung as new technical and sporting directors have fallen through, a deal that had looked well under way. On the way out, Milan have placed several players: Lorenzo Colombo has joined Genoa, Francesco Camarda Lecce and Musah Atalanta.

In Serie A several deals are nearing completion. Roma are reinforcing their attack: they are closing in on Mason Greenwood from Marseille and Zaragoza from Bayern Munich, after wrapping up the arrival of Malen from Borussia Dortmund. On the benches, Fabio Grosso has left Sassuolo to take charge of Fiorentina — a move accompanied by comments from former Viola goalkeeper Sébastien Frey to Violanews — while Bologna have chosen Domenico Tedesco as their new manager. A few more deals are being completed: Lazio have signed Matteo Pedraza from Villarreal, Udinese have closed for Nicolò Zaniolo from Galatasaray and Sassuolo have added defender Walukiewicz from Torino.

Abroad, alongside Real's Bernardo Silva coup, there is the move of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle to Barcelona. The Premier League and La Liga otherwise stay in the background, with many threads still to develop: a day dominated by Italian business, while the big clubs of Spain and England wait to get their transfer summer truly going.
