Inter push for Palestra and Provedel, Milan in full chaos

Inter are pressing on two fronts — a fresh bid for Mattia Palestra after a positive meeting with Atalanta and the chase for Ivan Provedel, now within touching distance — while locking down the bench with Chivu's renewal until 2028. On the other side, Milan are living hours of boardroom chaos after the collapse of the Krösche move, with Rafael Leao now on the market, while in Europe Real Madrid close in on Bernardo Silva and turn their sights on Bastoni.

Inter set the pace of the day. After a meeting with Atalanta described as positive by Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have prepared a fresh bid for Mattia Palestra: the final decision now rests with the Bergamo club. The deal for Ivan Provedel is also moving fast: the goalkeeper's agent, speaking to Sky Sport, confirmed that the move from Lazio is “very close” to completion. A big signature is coming too: according to Gazzetta, Chivu has agreed a contract extension until 2028. On the way out, Alessandro Bastoni remains a hot name, now targeted by Real Madrid — Inter's asking price, Gazzetta reports, is 70 million.

It's a very different mood at Milan, where the day is dominated by boardroom chaos. As Gazzetta dello Sport reports, the arrival of Krösche (and Hardung) to run the technical area has fallen through: Eintracht Frankfurt will not release the executive, and the Rossoneri must rebuild their structure from scratch, even if Amorim's confirmation as coach remains a fixed point. On the market the new manager has clear ideas: his dream is Gonçalo Ramos and, to make room for him, Rafael Leao is now up for sale, with Arsenal watching. Musah is also leaving, bound for Atalanta.

Juventus are working on several fronts. Talks with Chelsea over Andrea Cambiaso are widening, Gazzetta dello Sport writes: the London club's offer could rise with Jackson included in the deal, but Barcelona are also pushing for the full-back, ready to put Araujo on the table. In attack there's a slowdown instead: Jonathan David wants to stay in Turin and revive his career, a stance that effectively blocks the arrival of a new center-forward. Between the posts, finally, the Bianconeri are looking for reinforcement, and Tottenham's Guglielmo Vicario has emerged on the list.

In Tuscany, Fabio Paratici sets the tone: the Fiorentina director reiterated that the club is “not for sale,” that Moise Kean “remains central” and that Ndour is not for sale, cooling the rumors linking the striker to Juventus; meanwhile, a first summit to continue together has already been scheduled. Roma, on the other hand, are accelerating in attack: the new signings of Donyell Malen from Aston Villa and Evan Ferguson from Brighton are done, while the push for Mason Greenwood, set to arrive from Marseille, continues.

Napoli are also active, especially on the flanks. The Azzurri have targeted Sevilla's Juanlu and are weighing a possible market axis with Atlético Madrid, with Nahuel Molina among the objectives and Olivera on the opposite side. In attack the Lukaku question remains open, with the striker tipped for a possible move to the Spanish league.

Abroad, the heaviest news comes from Madrid: Real have closed for Bernardo Silva, arriving from Manchester City, and at the same time are parting ways with Antonio Rüdiger, now on his way out. In Spain, the future of Nico Williams is also a hot topic, with Athletic Club now treating him as good as gone, heading to Barcelona. In Serie A, finally, Como are smiling: as Gazzetta dello Sport reports, Nico Paz could stay another season, with his own will set to be decisive.
