Roma free Dovbyk, Milan close on Gila, Fiorentina go on the attack

Lunch is served hot on the transfer front: Roma have given the green light to Artem Dovbyk's loan move to Genoa, unlocking their own recruitment drive. On the other side of Milan the Rossoneri are a step away from Mario Gila after leapfrogging Napoli, while Fiorentina lay two dishes on the table and Juventus, Inter and Napoli work on their targets.

The first course is carried in by Roma: according to Calciomercato.com the Giallorossi have given the green light to Artem Dovbyk's loan move to Genoa, a step that lightens the attack and unlocks their incoming business. With the Ukrainian heading to Liguria, the capital club can now push on their targets — the trail to Club Brugge's Tresoldi stays warm — while Emanuele Baldanzi is already bound for Genoa too.

On the red-and-black side, Milan strike for Mario Gila: Calciomercato.com's breaking report speaks of an agreement reached with the player and a decisive move ahead of Napoli, with the Spanish defender now a step from Milanello. It is a signing that adds to the heavyweight Gonçalo Ramos, arrived from Paris Saint-Germain. Beaten to the defender, Napoli focus their energy up front, where the pursuit of Manchester United's Rasmus Hojlund remains alive.

The busiest kitchen, though, is the purple one. Fiorentina have put an official €11 million bid on the table with Burnley for Luca Koleosho, a deal well underway, and at the same time have entered the race for Trabzonspor's Inao Oulaï, valued between €23 and €25 million (Calciomercato.com). Two courses served at once, while on the way out they are negotiating the departure of Lucas Beltrán, called back home by River Plate.

At Juventus the menu is rich: an enquiry for goalkeeper Zion Suzuki appears on the notepad (Calciomercato.com), to be added to the near-ready courses of Kolo Muani, Emil Muharemovic and Emiliano 'Dibu' Martínez. Inter, for their part, have already banked Ivan Provedel from Lazio and keep working on targets Khalaili of Union Saint-Gilloise and Chelsea's Chalobah, while trimming the squad with the exits of Acerbi, Darmian, De Vrij and Sommer.

Among the international side dishes, the Premier League waves off Nathan Aké: his move from Manchester City to Fenerbahçe for €8 million is official (Calciomercato.com). In LaLiga, Atlético Madrid push for Sporting CP's Morten Hjulmand, Bologna have their eye on Real Madrid youngster Víctor Valdepeñas, and Atalanta move quickly to close for Gianluca Gaetano. The transfer table stays set: we eat again in the afternoon.
