Juve hunt a striker, Lazio sign Doekhi, Napoli lock down Vergara

As the market breaks for lunch, the main course is cooked by Juventus, stuck on the Kolo Muani impasse and already hunting for attacking alternatives. Around them the table is set fast: Lazio sign Doekhi on a free, Napoli tie Vergara down until 2031 and Inter regroup after the Khalaili collapse.

The most nervous starter is served in Turin. Juventus remain stuck on Kolo Muani: Giovanni Carnevali reiterated that “PSG’s demands are above 45 million”, figures judged too high (La Gazzetta dello Sport). So the club is not waiting and is looking around: Balogun has emerged as an attacking alternative, while Carnevali is preparing an offer for Kessie (La Gazzetta dello Sport). Incoming, Juve are also pushing for Pellegrino, with contacts with Parma and agents on the way (Corriere dello Sport); outgoing, David and Openda are on the move, with Paris FC swooping on the Canadian (Sportmediaset, Calciomercato).

Lazio’s main course is ready: Danilho Doekhi has agreed as a free agent and today is signing day for the former Union Berlin man, a free transfer (Sky Sport, Corriere dello Sport). On the other side, Inter must swallow the bitter Khalaili pill: the deal has collapsed after the failed medical eligibility certified by Marotta (MilanoToday), and the Nerazzurri are now chasing a right-flank reinforcement, where Djed Spence has surfaced (eurosport.it) and Guéla Doué remains a live name (La Gazzetta dello Sport).

Napoli are working several burners at once. Gem Vergara has renewed until 2031 (Sky Sport), while up front an agreement has been reached with Zeballos, though the deal with Boca Juniors is still missing (Napolicalcionews.it). Meanwhile Alajbegovic slips away, now close to Atalanta, who have secured the Bosnian midfielder’s provisional yes (Sky Sport).

In the Premier League, Manchester United have already banked a midfield double: Andrey Santos is official from Chelsea for 48 million and Youri Tielemans has been prised from Aston Villa by triggering his release clause (Calciomercato.com). The Villans are reinvesting fast, with Johan Manzambi arriving from Freiburg for over 60 million and Lucas Digne a step from PSG, ready to pay his clause (Calciomercato.com). And the Premier is tempting Roma too: for Manu Koné the English call has come, with his agent already in England (Forzaroma.info), while Milan open the door to selling Estupiñán, targeted by Aston Villa (Milan Vibes).

On the side dishes, Serie A is bubbling: Fiorentina have sealed a deal with Real Madrid for teenager Valdepeñas and are negotiating for Oulai (Sky Sport, Gianluca Di Marzio), Genoa have made Hamed Traoré official on loan from OM (Primocanale) and Cagliari keep fishing, with Fazzini already official and the possible arrival of Winks (Il Messaggero). La Liga, for now, is dozing under the sun: few direct moves, with talisman Valdepeñas leaving Madrid. Enjoy your meal: the market, meanwhile, never stops.
