Roma seal Mora, Kean drifts to Como: lunch is served

A cooler-than-usual lunchtime on the market, but a few piping-hot dishes are still on the table. Between one finalised deal and negotiations still on the boil, here's what's cooking according to overnight and this morning's breaking news.

The starter comes from Roma. Gianluca Di Marzio reports Rodrigo Mora's arrival as done: the Giallorossi, he writes, have finalised the transfer of the Portuguese forward from Porto. It is the freshest move of the night, the only deal that in the last few hours has gone from a rumour to a done deal.

The main course, though, is defence. Di Marzio again describes a verbal agreement between Napoli and Chelsea for Benoit Badiashile: the French defender would arrive on loan with an option to buy. Juventus are stirring at the back too: according to Calciomercato.com the Bianconeri, on top of Fofana, are keeping an eye on Fikayo Tomori, a lead that would heat up in the event of defensive sales.

On a high flame sits the Moise Kean case. Calciomercato.com reports that Como have made a first offer to Fiorentina: a 30-million-euro package split between a loan and an obligation to buy. Fiorentina, who want more than 30-35 million to let him go, stay at the stove; the player, it is reported, has opened to the move.

To finish, a side dish and a flash from abroad. Calciomercato.com flags Genoa closing in on Evan Ferguson, while the only official deal from beyond our borders is again Di Marzio's: Joey Veerman is a new Borussia Dortmund player, on a permanent transfer from PSV. La Liga and the Premier League, for now, are going hungry: the afternoon menu will hopefully bring more courses.
