Allegri joins Napoli, Provedel to Inter, Pedraza signs for Lazio

Napoli confirm Massimiliano Allegri as their new manager on a deal until 2029, on a day when Inter wrap up Ivan Provedel from Lazio for around 3 million and the Biancocelesti land Alfonso Pedraza on a free transfer. In the negotiations column, Milan push hard for Mario Gila, Inter press for Khalaili and Roma sound out Chelsea over Alejandro Garnacho.

The headline of the day comes from the Napoli bench: according to Calciomercato.com, Massimiliano Allegri is officially the club's new manager, having signed a contract until 2029. It is a move that reshapes the Serie A hierarchy and now opens the phase of building the squad around the coach.

Inter's moves are concrete. The deal with Lazio for goalkeeper Ivan Provedel has been closed - an operation worth around 3 million euros reported by Calciomercato.com - while up front the Nerazzurri have reached, like Napoli, a personal agreement with Anan Khalaili: the obstacle remains Union Saint-Gilloise's asking price of 25 million. Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah also stays on the shortlist for defence.

Two faces for Milan. Incoming, the board records the arrival of Goncalo Ramos from PSG, while on the way out went Samuel Chukwueze, bound for Fulham, Yunus Musah, who joined Atalanta, and Suso, heading to Sevilla. The hottest move, though, is in defence: Calciomercato.com reports a strong Milan push for Lazio's Mario Gila, with contacts already opened with the player's agent.

A busy day for Lazio too, who confirmed Alfonso Pedraza on a free transfer from Villarreal but are losing several players: besides Provedel, Cristian Mandas (Bournemouth), Matias Vecino (Celta Vigo) and Vedat Muriqi (Mallorca) all depart. Incoming, Como move decisively, making Luis Milla official from Getafe for 6 million and reaching an agreement with Real Madrid over Nico Paz.

Juventus are working on both fronts: the moves for Kolo Muani from Tottenham and goalkeeper Emiliano 'Dibu' Martinez from Aston Villa are at an advanced stage, while on the way out young Giovanni Daffara is bound for Parma and David Puczka has joined Genoa for 6 million. Roma trim their squad with the sales of Enzo Le Fee to Sunderland, Emanuele Baldanzi to Genoa and Marash Kumbulla to Mallorca, keep sounding out Chelsea for Alejandro Garnacho and watch the Mason Greenwood race, for whom Atletico Madrid have sent an official offer to Marseille.

In the Premier League, Manchester United have completed the arrival of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, while Tottenham land a double swoop in Sandro Tonali from Newcastle and Mateus Fernandes from West Ham, the latter for 85 million pounds according to Calciomercato.com. Sunderland are very active: after Le Fee and Jobe Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, they have also closed for Granit Xhaka. In La Liga, on top of the Greenwood pursuit, Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal with Sporting CP for Morten Hjulmand.
