July 11 transfers: Hjulmand to Atlético, Fiorentina seal Atta

Atlético Madrid make Morten Hjulmand official, signed from Sporting Lisbon for 40 million euros. In Serie A it is Fiorentina setting the pace, with the official arrivals of Arthur Atta and Álex Jimenez.

The heaviest deal of the day carries Atlético Madrid's signature: the club has made Morten Hjulmand official. The Danish midfielder leaves Sporting Lisbon for 40 million euros, as reported by Calciomercato.com.

In Serie A the protagonist is Fiorentina. The Viola confirmed the arrival of Arthur Atta from Udinese for a fee of around 25-27 million plus bonuses and, in the evening, also wrapped up Álex Jimenez, on loan with an option to buy from Bournemouth. The official bid submitted for Wolverhampton's Tolu Arokodare, however, was turned down by the English club.

Jacopo Fazzini switches destination: long linked with Parma, the midfielder ended up at Cagliari, who closed the deal on a paid loan of around one million. The Sardinians also remain on the verge of signing Leicester City's Harry Winks.

Anan Khalaili's registration with Inter, on the other hand, is on stand-by. The agreement with Union Saint-Gilloise, worth around 25 million, is complete, but CONI has requested further checks before granting the player his sporting eligibility.

On the international front, PSG have reached the basis of an agreement with Ferran Torres, whose renewal with Barcelona — expiring in 2027 — has become complicated. In the Premier League, Newcastle are closing in on Freiburg's Johan Manzambi in a 60-million-plus-bonus deal, while Venezia keep strengthening and have secured Akor Adams from Sevilla for 16 million with a raid in Spain.

Among the open negotiations, Roma remain very active: on their radar are Alejandro Garnacho, whom Chelsea are considering loaning out, and Strasbourg's Diego Moreira. Galatasaray have opened talks with Como for Assane Diao, Napoli are working on outgoings with talks for Lindstrøm to Schalke 04 and Hasa to Frosinone, while from Saudi Arabia Al-Hilal are pushing for Raphinha, who for now is not open to the move.
