Dumfries to Real, United's four deals: July 13 done moves
A red-hot day in the transfer market: Inter sold Denzel Dumfries to Real Madrid, while Manchester United completed four signings in Tielemans, Andrey Santos, Cunha and Mbeumo. Khalaili's move to Inter collapsed instead – Marotta confirmed he failed to obtain sporting eligibility – while Lazio wrapped up Doekhi on a free and Roma tied Dybala down until 2027.
The biggest deal of the day belongs to Real Madrid, who signed Denzel Dumfries from Inter. The Nerazzurri cash in on a major sale but also suffer a setback: as confirmed by Beppe Marotta in a press conference and relayed by Calciomercato.com, Khalaili will not become an Inter player after failing to obtain sporting eligibility. On the way out, Valentin Carboni joins Parma.
In the Premier League, the spotlight is all on Manchester United. The Red Devils have lined up four incomings: Andrey Santos is official, arriving from Chelsea for 48 million (Calciomercato.com), alongside Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton and Youri Tielemans, for whom the club triggered Aston Villa's release clause. Villa themselves endure a mixed day: despite bringing in Johan Manzambi from Freiburg for over 60 million, they wave goodbye to Tielemans and to Lucas Digne, off to PSG after his clause was paid.
Lazio wrapped up Danilho Doekhi: the Dutch defender, most recently at Union Berlin, arrives on a free (Calciomercato.com), while Cristian Mandas leaves the Biancocelesti for Bournemouth. Roma focused mainly on renewals: Paulo Dybala has extended until 2027, and both Zeki Celik and Lorenzo Pellegrini have reached a verbal agreement over new deals. Incoming, the Giallorossi welcome Evan Ferguson from Brighton, with Emanuele Baldanzi moving to Genoa.
Milan trimmed the squad with two departures: Patrick Cutrone heads to Wolves and Suso returns to Spain with Sevilla. Napoli are pushing for Joao Gomes, with the deal with Wolverhampton now well advanced. Fiorentina were the busiest, landing a trio of new faces: Dragusin from Tottenham, Lucas Jimenez from Real Madrid and Atta from Udinese.
There was plenty of movement across the rest of Serie A as well. Cagliari signed Harry Winks from Leicester and sold Luvumbo to Mallorca, while Atalanta welcomed Gianluca Gaetano from the Sardinians. Como closed for Luis Milla from Getafe, Udinese picked up Unai Gomez from Athletic Club, Cremonese added Sarmiento from Brighton and Pisa brought in Marras from Verona.
In LaLiga, beyond the Dumfries coup, Real Madrid also parted with Huijsen, bound for Bournemouth, while Atlético Madrid strengthened midfield with Morten Hjulmand from Sporting CP. In the Premier League, finally, Tottenham completed the arrival of Sandro Tonali from Newcastle, and Sunderland landed a double swoop: Jobe Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund and Granit Xhaka on a free.
