Rodri joins Barcelona and Vicario signs for Juve, busy Serie A day

A high-intensity Tuesday, 18 August, on the transfer market: Rodri is officially a Barcelona player and Vicario moves to Juventus. In Serie A, Milan, Roma, Napoli and Lazio are also active, between official deals, negotiations and exits.

The biggest move comes from La Liga: Rodri is officially a new Barcelona player. The midfielder leaves Manchester City in a deal worth 60 million euros plus bonuses, as reported by Calciomercato.com and echoed by Tuttosport.

In Serie A, Juventus land Vicario, made official during the day: a deal defined in structure, fees and bonuses (Sportmediaset). The Bianconeri remain active in goal, with ongoing talks with Palermo for Mattia Perin, while Arthur is heading towards a contract termination (Calciomercato.com).

Milan are working on several fronts. Diego Moreira has completed his medical and is awaiting his signature, although the announcement could be delayed (Sky Sport). On the way out, young David Odogu's move to Toulouse is official, while Moreira's arrival reignites the possibility of a Leão departure, with Galatasaray and some Arab clubs interested. In midfield, Samuele Ricci has been offered to Como: the Rossoneri would only let him leave on a permanent basis or on loan with an obligation to buy (Calciomercato.com).

It was a busy day for the others too. Roma have finalised the arrival of Rodrigo Mora from Porto (Gianluca Di Marzio); Napoli are working on Badiashile, due for his medical, and on Favasuli. Lazio are pushing hard for Icardi and have put Ajax's Josip Sutalo top of their defensive list, with Chaloupek as an alternative. Como, after a first rejection, are trying again for Kean, while Inter are close to renewing Pio Esposito, with a five-year agreement and an improved salary (Calciomercato.com).

On the outgoing front, Sassuolo have closed the deal for Fedde Leysen on loan with an obligation to buy, with the medical scheduled (Gianluca Di Marzio), but are dealing with transfer requests from Thorstvedt and Pinamonti. Fiorentina are weighing a return for Torreira, for now only an idea, and see Hull City moving in for Niccolò Fortini (Calciomercato.com).

Among the deals now defined, Alessandro Circati is close to Benfica in an operation worth around 20 million with Parma, who in the meantime have made official Thomas de Martis from Lanús; Thijs Dallinga leaves Bologna for Cologne on a paid loan and Santiago Giménez is close to Porto on loan with an option to buy (Calciomercato.com). On the international market, Joey Veerman moves permanently from PSV to Borussia Dortmund (Gianluca Di Marzio); in Italy, Verona have made official Nunzio Lella, as part of the swap with Montipò, and Torino have let Wisdom Acquah join Modena.
