Elmas to Atalanta, Šutalo to Lazio, Badiashile to Napoli
Saturday 22 August was full of official deals in Serie A and beyond. Atalanta surprised everyone by signing Eljif Elmas, Lazio landed Josip Šutalo and Napoli confirmed Benoît Badiashile.
The day opened with three official signings. Atalanta pulled off the surprise move for Eljif Elmas, who joins on loan with an option to buy from Leipzig, as announced by Calciomercato.com. Shortly after, Lazio confirmed Josip Šutalo, signed from Ajax on a paid loan of 3 million, while Napoli closed the deal for Benoît Badiashile: the defender arrives from Chelsea on a paid loan of 3 million, following the verbal agreement reported earlier in the day by Gianluca Di Marzio.

On the Milan and Juventus front, negotiations are moving for the flanks and the goalkeeping role. Milan are tracking Christopher Nkunku's return to Leipzig, with the talks well under way, while Barcelona's Alejandro Balde was proposed in contacts with Jorge Mendes, an option the Rossoneri are cool on.
